A reconstructed sacred universe

Explore 42 divine and cosmic powers

Ancient Egypt Sacred Universe brings together gods, goddesses, cosmic principles, sacred geography, kingship, ritual, death and renewal in one richly illustrated interactive experience.

Journey from Nun, Atum, Ra, Shu and Tefnut through Osiris, Isis, Horus, Hathor, Thoth, Anubis, Sekhmet and many more, with the Codex extending into later Egyptian and Greco-Egyptian developments. Each entry connects iconography, chronology, cult geography, relationships, syncretisms and primary-text evidence.

The app follows an accuracy-first structure. Earlier Egyptian evidence is prioritised, later developments are identified as later, uncertainties are stated, and interpretive material is kept distinct from historical claims. A recurring Outer Cosmos → Human World → Inner Cosmos lens helps connect Egyptian religious ideas without flattening their historical complexity.

The textual foundations

Primary traditions connected to the Codex

The app is designed so Egyptian deities and concepts are not separated from the texts that preserve them. Sacred literature, funerary traditions and theological compositions connect directly back to relevant powers and themes.

More than a list of gods

A connected map of Egyptian sacred thought

Move from a deity to their earliest attestations, relationships, cult centres, symbolic forms and associated texts. Follow the same ideas across creation, kingship, ritual, death and renewal.

Chronology made visible

Old Kingdom, Middle Kingdom, New Kingdom and later developments are distinguished so that ideas are not presented as though every period of Egyptian religion were identical.

Outer, human and inner worlds

The app separates historical religion from an explicitly identified interpretive layer exploring how cosmic and divine patterns may be read symbolically within human experience.

Relationships & syncretisms

Trace divine families, theological groupings, merged identities and changing associations across different periods and cult centres.

Sacred artwork

Original scenes reconstruct solar dawn, temple ritual, divine protection, kingship, the marshes, the Duat and other major theological moments.

Music and atmosphere

Twelve instrumental tracks, animated environments and dedicated portrait/landscape artwork create a contemplative visual reading space.

Built for sustained study

Use the Codex for quick discovery, the Introduction for a guided overview, Living Texts for primary-source depth, or Companion pathways for thematic study.
